I am so proud of how hard these kiddos worked to learn their white sight words! :) We had a white celebration!
Today, we had a very special Veteran visit our class.....Mrs. Low's brother! He answered lots of questions (some really thoughtful and even tough) the children asked. He told us about his job and helped to explain the importance of Veteran's Day.
We spent 2 weeks learning about the properties and states of matter in science. We learned about solids, liquids, and gases. We explored the composition of materials, and experimented with sinking and floating. To end our unit, the kids were given the challenge to use what they had learned about what makes an object float to build a clay vessel that would float. They had a blast! Fernando build the winning vessel. :)
We ended our unit about The American Flag and the Pledge of Allegiance by making an edible flag! YUMMY!!
YUMMY! We ended our shape word week with a delicious snack! Thank you to all the parents who sent in our wonderful shape snacks! Keep practicing recognizing and reading those shape words at home. :)
